My Household Managed (MHM) is an expert in recruiting private household staff across the Chicago area. MHM was founded by a former recruiter turned household employee. As former nannies and house managers in private homes ourselves, we are very familiar with what it is like to be a candidate.
To avoid reference burnout, we only contact references once. We do not attempt to contact references without your permission and until there is a specific job you have in mind.
If you are being considered for a job through our agency we are willing to be a resource for any and all questions you may have whether it is before, during, or after placement.
We assist in the negotiation of a work agreement between you and the family. Our work agreement template includes clauses meant to protect you as a household employee.

My Household Managed is able to attract the best, most premium domestic staff because we ensure that families that utilize our agency are offering legal and competitive pay, industry standard benefits, guaranteed hours, and overtime pay.
We ensure that each of the families we work with are able to offer high quality jobs for domestic staff that include the following:
Fair and legal pay for household employees via payroll including family’s issuance of a W-2 and payment of employer’s share of taxes
Gross hourly base wage of at least $30+ /hr
Overtime pay for any hours over 40 in a given week
Typical household worker/ nanny industry standard benefits including:
Guaranteed hours
Paid vacation time
Paid sick days
Paid holidays
Mileage reimbursement (if you are required to use your own vehicle on the job)
